Ashwin is an Automotive Analyst based in Canalys’ office in Bangalore, India. He researches autonomous, connected and electric vehicles, and works on Canalys’ continuous information services and custom projects focused on the automotive market.

Ashwin gained more than six years’ experience in technology and the automotive industry before joining Canalys. He spent three years with SBD Automotive in Bangalore and gained experience working on connected services, automotive apps and connected car legislation guides for North America, Europe and Thailand. He also worked as an Analyst at Blueocean Market Intelligence (now Course5i) and has consulting experience in IT strategy and market research, IoT, artificial intelligence and blockchain.

Ashwin’s academic background is in business administration and computer applications. He is an MBA graduate in Marketing and completed an internship at Abacus Market Analytics – IMRB International in Bangalore. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Applications from Bangalore University.
