Rodney is a Research Analyst based in Canalys’ Portland, Oregon office. He contributes to the company’s channel-focused services, supporting research into go-to-market strategies and partner programs.

Prior to Canalys, Rodney worked in restaurant management. As a manager, Rodney guided the restaurant through the pandemic by using data analysis tools to design and implement an inventory management system. He also restructured the menu to reduce costs. Further help came from researching and applying for government grants and assistance programs to improve operating capital, and by developing new strategic partnerships to increase revenue.

Rodney graduated from Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University with a Master of Business Administration degree in Business Analytics and Finance. He also received a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Sociology from the University of Oregon, where he worked as a teaching and research assistant.

Born in Korea and having grown up in the United States, he speaks fluent English and Korean.
