Toby is an Analyst based in Canalys' Shanghai office, researching on the global mobility market with a specific focus on smartphones and supply chain dynamics. He contributes to Canalys primary research, device data tracking, forecasting, and report deliverables. Toby also delivers smartphone market insights and technology trends to help clients drawing up strategies.

Prior to joining Canalys, Toby worked in product marketing for a world leading semiconductor group. He is responsible for project management, demand forecasting and products design-in/win. Toby has a deep understanding on the semiconductor industry and smartphone supply chain.

Toby graduated from Fudan University with a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in electrical engineering and physical electronics respectively. He speaks Mandarin and English.
