Canalys Forums goes digital
Shanghai (China), Bengaluru (India), Singapore, Reading (UK) and Portland (US) – Thursday, 16 July 2020
Dear all,
We are excited to bring you a bold new version of the Canalys Forums in 2020. This year, the events will be running digitally. A whole “week of the channel” will kick off in EMEA on 5 October, APAC on 16 November and LATAM on 30 November, giving you all exceptional opportunities to learn and connect.
Canalys is already famous for developing the world’s most innovative event app, a product that has now been reimagined for the digital era. We’ve made it more flexible than ever, so you can hop in and out of our events, choosing the elements that suit your needs.
Here are some of the things that you will be able to enjoy at the 2020 Canalys Forums:
- Short, high-definition keynotes, with chapters to help find the content that matters to you.
- The ability to invite other attendees to video meetings.
- Interactive, live Q&As with top executives.
- Subtitles in several languages.
- Chat options embedded in every session.
- Bite-sized on-demand content that you can consume on the go at your convenience.
- Games that recognize the most active participants, and rewards that guarantee you an invite to next year’s Canalys Forums.
As ever, we will be working with the world’s leading distributors to connect partners to the broadest possible range of channel-friendly vendors. Going virtual means we can invite far more attendees than ever before to create opportunities together. Our goal is simple: to deliver the best digital experience you will take part in this year.
Why not onsite?
The COVID-19 pandemic is easing in both Asia and Europe and some borders are reopening. It is likely that attendees will be excited to travel to our events by October and November. But a conference doesn’t just need attendees to make it happen. It needs binding contracts to be agreed with hotels and other suppliers, and it needs sponsors to commit their time and money. This requires a level of confidence that will take months to return, especially with the possibility of a second wave.
The pandemic may have caused us to reinvent the Canalys Forums this year, but we believe these new digital event experiences will offer you an exceptional opportunity to learn and connect with the channels community.
To be a part of the Canalys Forums, register your interest via our website – EMEA from 5 October, APAC from 16 November and LATAM from 30 November – or email events@canalys.com.
Be sure to save the dates – EMEA from 5 October, APAC from 16 November and LATAM from 30 November – and keep an eye on our events web site for more information in the coming weeks.
We wish you and your families good health.
